This enacted ordinance amended an earlier ordinance concerning the planned extension of Parker Avenue across a railroad right-of-way and the dedication of the extended street bed to the City.
Amending Section 2 of an Ordinance (Bill No. 060317) approved September 28, 2006, entitled "An Ordinance authorizing and directing the revision of lines and grades on a portion of City Plan No. 275 by extending Parker Avenue from its current terminus on the northeasterly side of a 66' wide right-of-way for railroad purposes, approximately 66' southwestward to the southwest side of said right-of-way, including the dedication to the City, free and clear of all encumbrances except for a right-of-way for railroad purposes, of the bed of the extension of Parker Avenue," by extending the period for compliance with the terms and conditions stated therein.

The enacted ordinance amends Philadelphia’s building code rules for pedestrian protection at construction and demolition sites.
Amending Title 4 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "The Philadelphia Building Construction and Occupancy Code," by amending Subcode "B" ("The Philadelphia Building Code"), by amending the provisions of Chapter 33 ("Safeguards During Construction"), including provisions relating to the protection of pedestrians, all under certain terms and conditions.

This enacted measure changes Philadelphia’s rules for permits that temporarily close sidewalks or roadway lanes.
Amending Section 11-611 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled "Sidewalk and Roadway Lane Closures," by amending the provisions regulating the application for and issuance of permits for the temporary closure of a sidewalk or roadway lane, including adding new conditions to such permits, providing for building permit revocation and stop work orders for violations, by clarifying that such permits are issued by the Streets Department, and by making certain technical amendments, all under certain terms and conditions.

The enacted ordinance changes the zoning designations for land bounded by Arch Street, 18th Street, Cuthbert Street, and 19th Street, and changes commercial-district and Benjamin Franklin Parkway height and building-coverage rules for that area.
To amend the Philadelphia Zoning Maps by changing the zoning designations of certain areas of land located within an area bounded by Arch Street, 18th Street, Cuthbert Street, and 19th Street, by amending Section 14-305 of the Zoning Code entitled "C-4" Commercial and "C-5" Commercial District and by amending Section 14-1611 of the Zoning Code, entitled "Benjamin Franklin Parkway Controls", under certain terms and conditions.
